Refining precious metals for more than 35 years
Electroplated Scrap
Electroplated scrap is refined at our facility through a highly effective gold and gold/palladium stripping process. This method is fast, efficient, and, most importantly, accurate.
Our strip line is equipped with rotary barrels that enable us to strip up to 10,000 pounds of plated material in a single day. The stripping process involves immersing the scrap into a stripping solution to remove the layer of metal. The scrap is then removed from the solution, rinsed thoroughly, and inspected to ensure that all gold and/or palladium has been removed. The remaining solution containing the stripped precious metals are then volumed/weighed in any number of ways that suit the customer’s specific preference.
All gold assays include the gold dragged into a double rinse station. This provides zero loss of gold from material and 100% reclaimed for assay and settlement.
We can also provide you with our proprietary stripping chemistries so that you can strip material at your own facility.
